Happy New Year.

The company, which was founded in December 1995, welcomes its 14th year in business in 2008.


For Next Solutions, 2007 was a foundation-firming-up year in which its core business was firmed-up.


“Can things change this much in a year?” The marked, thoroughgoing investment in our e-commerce business was enough to make us say that. In terms of capital, personnel and mental, we committed every possible resource.


One point we must reflect on is that, even for Next Solutions, where global advancement is a hobby, it was also a year when our global expansion had been slightly delayed because we focused too much on firming up the foundation.


Last year, Hong Kong was the only overseas advancement we accomplished.


As a physical distribution and financial relay point centered on the Asia bloc, we will expand our e-commerce business this year to the Hong Kong office.


And one other location: In a business tie-up with Softbank IDC, we started a 24 hour/365 day monitoring service for stationed servers by Next Solutions employees in the Suita, Osaka data center. For this purpose, we established the Management Solution department.


The fact that the global expansion started off late is one of the very big points of reflection during the past year.


At present we are in four countries around the world. The pace is too slow to achieve my goal of 40 countries by age 40.


For the whole year last year, Next Solutions thoroughly tackled facing our clients directly.


“Revenue Share”


This notion is very profound and difficult. The entire group is determined to tackle this problem directly.


Entrusted with the job by the client, but ignore their profit. The client is at fault for putting in an order for a project that bleeds red ink. We put it together just as we were told, so the rest is not our concern.


Next Solutions firmly debunks that way of thinking. We plunge ourselves into the abyss where excuses do not count.


No matter how much we bled red, we never fled. And by taking them on with an indomitable spirit, we turned numerous red ink projects into black ink ones and built win-win relationships. We think that this too was a result that we achieved because we, sure enough, had chance meetings with wonderful clients that assisted us. Thank you very much.


Japan HQ attained a very large growth that was the largest ever. We achieved sales that were 200% higher compared to the previous year.


In the Tokyo HQ, a strong, elite team gathered.


As the HQ function that leads the world, aggressive and strong members who, from their hearts, seriously think about the company assembled. When problems occur, all of the members gather, pose questions, and can solve the problem by discussing it on their own. That may seem like the obvious way to do things, but it is actually very hard to do. They have the strength to face problems head-on.


The Osaka Branch is also the site of the company’s founding.


We are building a stable profit foundation and firm platform. The company’s framework is, as expected, firmly supported by Osaka. It is the only location that I can really let them run the operation without worry. When in a bind, we help Osaka from all over the world!


The Kanagawa Branch is, in the IT industry, an exceptional warehouse.


The floor area is about 200 tsubo (7117 square foot) and, in the warehouse and second floor, we handle customer support and product photography. Their consciousness is always high, and they pin down various difficulties with spirit and determination. It is the office that supports the basis of the business model of the e-commerce business. As a company, we would like to further expand the e-commerce business.


The Suita Branch provides 24 hour/365 day server maintenance service.


Responding as the occasion demands, real-time fast response, and the high level of consciousness are excellent. Around the time when the company was founded and I was responding alone by myself, 24 hour response was a given. However, at some point since then we became a lackadaisical company that could not provide 24 hour response. This greatest subject of frustration as an owner was finally resolved this current year. The ability to make phone calls 24 hours without regard to the time is something that we are unexpectedly glad about in our company as well… Make what seems normal actually the norm. That may seem easy but is actually very difficult… The management solution dept. is mentally and physically tough. I would like us to be appreciative of the unsung heroes from the bottom of our hearts and support them together.


Los Angeles is the American HQ and New York is the center of the world.


If I were to describe Next Solutions America in one word, it would be: “Survival.”
Everything is about “survival.” As everyone involved will agree, there is no better way to describe it than survival. To that survival base, staff in Japan answered the call and three of them transferred to Los Angeles. Including New York, as a Japanese-owned company providing one-stop web integration, we boast overwhelming name recognition and level of capability. And among the Japanese-owned companies, we secured a considerable position. Including business tie-ups such as with Urban Outfitters, the world’s largest select shop, we are steadily producing results. We would like to actively hire locally within the U.S. and actively approach American companies.


Shenyang is China’s land of severe cold.


As an off-shore development base that is the basis of Next Solutions’ system development dept. And there is the business tie-up with Shenyang Daily, the largest newspaper publisher in the northeast Asia region. Welcoming its second year since its establishment as an off-shore development base, a stable development structure has been set up. Shenyang is the land of severe cold. It is a brutal land where, in the dead of winter, the temperature can reach as low as -40 degrees Celsius (-104 degrees Farenheit). This year, we would like to aim for expanding our e-commerce business to the Asian bloc and Chinese bloc. And this year, we would like to further expand our career development program where the very best stand-out members of Shenyang are promoted to positions in Japan and the U.S.


At present, I am 29 years and 10 months old.


My goal for my 20’s was to speak of reality.
My goal for my 30’s is to speak of goals.


And to advance to 40 countries worldwide by age 40.


I wrote this also in this post. “How many of the companies here will still be around in five years…”


Last year too, many IT companies caused scandals and went bankrupt. Eight of my friends’ companies also went bankrupt last year.


Understand your limitations, understand reality and walk with your feet firmly on the ground.


This year also, I will work hard steadily, delicately and boldly at the same time.
